Hello, I’ve had a dog (or dogs) in my life for the past 38 years. Whether just a pet, farm dog, or my agility, or therapy dogs they encourage my desire to gain more knowledge and compassion for man’s best friend. I take pride in the fact that I have used positive reinforcement methods of training even when they weren't popular. I strive to learn new and better ways to train based on the ethology of my "canine companions". To me, the German Shepard Dog is like no other so it seemed like a natural progression to enter the sport of Schutzhund. In 2005 I achieved a BH with my beautiful white GSD Keegan at this club. Then fate led me to Northeast Ohio WDA, where I trained for several years. I’ve learned a lot about the sport and met some really wonderful people. This is also where I found my current training buddy, Beria von Diamant Grenze SV AD CGC BH CD RN. "Avril" and I have been busy for the last three years, she is a joy to train, energetic and happy. We are currently preparing for AKC obedience (CDX) and a SCH I in June. I can’t sign off without mentioning my beautiful GSD buddy and protector "Hondo", who keeps me safe at home on the farm. My only hope is that I am blessed with 38 more years of wonderful dogs in my life.
