Bill Hunter

My Name is Bill Hunter and I am a retired Senior Citizen residing in Hopewell Township, Beaver County. I am a new member of the Penn Ohio Working Dog Club since the fall of 2008. I am currently training my German Shepherd puppy Flash vom Fleischerheim, who is a show dog from Fleischerheim German Shepherds. Based on the pedigree of my puppy’s parents (Dam: Zirra vom Huhnegrab, Sire: Vico vom Farbenspiel), I decided to look into the German sport of Schutzhund. After some research, I chose this club based on its unique method of training. It was not long before I discovered the overall dedication of the club training directors and its club members to helping one another. My personal goal is to learn more about Schutzhund and how to be an effective handler by better understanding general dog behavior and the dog /handler interface. Our ultimate team goal is to obtain a Schutzhund title, possibly a BH in 2009, while further building our bond, having fun, and enjoying the time spent with my new puppy.
